Best of luck to the Kerry U16 team who take on Cork in the Munster A Final on Saturday 9^th May in Castletownroche at 2pm. The sides met earlier in the round robin which Kerry won comprehensively but with Cork putting out a much different team to what is expected on Saturday. Many of the Kerry team were members of the All Ireland winning U14 team last year so despite their young years they will have plenty of experience. Kerry will be hoping that players such as Tara Breen & Moira Flaherty are tight in the back, while in midfield Emma McCarthy & Laobhaise Walmsley will have to be at their best to cope with the marauding Cork midfielders who like to go forward & attack frequently. Kerry’s attack if supplied with good ball into Fiadhna Tangney & Hannah O’Donoghue can be deadly accurate. A really exciting game is in store with possibly the 2 best teams at this grade in the country competing.
