Kerry U/14 Team Is Announced For Munster Championship Fixture v Cork.

The Kerry ladies U/14 team to face Cork in Round 2 of the Munster Championship at Naomh Aban , Ballyvourney at 2 pm on Saturday has been named and is as follows :

Venue Announced For Kerry U/14’s V Cork On Saturday 18th March.

The Kerry U/14 girls will take their first step towards retaining the Munster championship that they won so impressively last year when they take on Cork next Saturday in  Naomh Abán (New Pitch) Ballyvourney at 2pm.

Kerry retain two of that title winning side with Rachel Dwyer captaining the team and Ciara Butler continuing in goals.

It will be interesting to see how both sides perform given the fact that they are destined to meet in the Munster final further down the line. Kerry will be anxious not to give Cork any psychological advantage however, and manager John Doona has his girls well prepared for the task ahead.

Rhyno Quality Feeds County League Round 1 Throws In Today

The postponed Round 1 of the Rhyno Quality Feeds Ladies Senior County Leagues throw in today and there are games in all 4 divisions .

 

In Div 1 

Theres just one game going ahead as

Castleisland Desmonds host S Gaels in Castleisland at 2pm

the

Beaufort v I.S.G game is off as both teams have girls playing at the HEC O’Connor cup w/end in Mayo

Scartaglin welcome Corca Dhuibhne to CORDAL at 11.30

While the

John Mitchels v Kilcummin and Na Gaeil v Crokes games are off – once again because of theO’Connor Cup w/end

O’Connor Cup Final To Feature A Host Of Kerry Girls

Sunday’s O Connor Cup final will be of huge interest to Kerry followers as UL have qualified to meet UCC in the final.

UL defeated DCU by 1-15 to 2-8 in the semi final today whilst UCC defeated defensing champions UCD by 3-10 to 0-7 in the other semi final.

UL are captained by Southern Gaels Anna Galvin and she is joined by Laura Rogers of Austin Stacks, Ayesha Roche of Na Gaeil, Leah Henry of Listowel Emmetts and Laoise Coughlan of Rathmore.

Sarah Murphy of Rathmore and Eilis O Leary of Kilcummin will line out for UCC in what is sure to be a nail biting final.

There will be deferred coverage of the final on TG4 at 5.15 tomorrow.

Kerry u/14’s v U/16 Kerry HPA in Gallarus

The Kerry U/14 county team took on the U/16 Kerry HPA in Gallarus today.

The Kerry Ladies County Board would like to thank the An Gaeltacht club for the use of their excellent facilities.

Plenty Of Kerry Representation For HEC Finals Weekend.

It’s finals weekend for the HEC Third level colleges competition and Kerry will be well represented with a number of players taking part in the various competition’s which will start in Mayo on Friday.

The blue ribbon event is of course the O’Connor Cup and there are a number of players involved with Southern Gaels Anna Galvin the captain of UL where she will be joined by Laura Rogers of Austin Stacks, Ayesha Roche of Na Gaeil, Leah Henry of Listowel Emmetts and Laoise Coughlan of Rathmore.

UL will face high flying DCU in the semi final.

UCC are also in the O’Connor cup semi final and Kerry is represented by rising star Sarah Murphy of Rathmore and Eilis O Leary of Kilcummin while former Kerry goalkeeper Tomás Mac An TSaoir is a selector. Elsewhere Dingle’s Deirdre Geaney will line out for DCU 2 in the Giles Cup while Siobhan Goodwin of Castlegregory, Micaela O’Connor of Spa, Cliona Coffey of Beaufort and Christine Cooper of Dr Crokes will represent Mary Immaculate College in the same competition, with Cliondha Hayes of John Mitchels lining out for Trinity College.

Áine Cahillane of Chorca Dhuibhne, Aoife Ní Mhuircheartaigh of Dingle and Ciara Anderson of Causeway represent The Royal College of Surgeons in the Donaghy Cup, with Nicola Horan of Kerins O Rahillys, Eilís O’Connor of  Na Gaeil .

In the Lynch Cup UCD 2 will be represented by Clodagh Quinlan of Inbhear Sceine Gaels while Aileen Sheehan of Rathmore and Louise Horgan of Clounmacon will represent WIT.

All Rhyno Quality Feeds Senior League Games Are Off.

The 4 games which were due to take place today in the Senior Ladies Rhyno Quality Feeds County Leagues have now also been postponed due to the adverse weather conditions.

This means that there will be no action on today.
All of the postponed Round 1 games will take place on next Sunday 12th March instead and teams will have to line out without their minor and senior intercounty players.
The fixtures that were due to take place this morning but have been postponed are;

The adverse weather conditions has led to the cancellation of a number of Rhyno Quality Feeds Senior League fixtures tomorrow.
