Research Study Recruitment

I hope this email finds you safe and well.

I am a PhD student and Sports Nutritionist at the Athlone Institute of Technology and my research group are currently investigating the cooking and food skills of team sports athletes. This follows on from our previous work investigating the dietary intake and nutrition knowledge of athletes.

I am contacting you directly to ask if you would kindly support our recruitment process by advertising our research amongst clubs and players that fall within your jurisdiction.

We are currently looking for players over the age of 18. All that would be required from each player is the completion of a short online questionnaire that will assess aspects of both their cooking and food skills. The questionnaire will take on average 10-minutes to complete and all responses will be handled confidentially and remain anonymous. The questionnaire can be accessed via the following link:

Upon completion, we would be happy to provide free feedback and advice to players on how they performed and how they might increase their cooking and food skills to improve dietary behavior.
