Kerry suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of All Ireland Ireland runners up Dublin in Portmarnock. This is the fourth defeat on the trot for Pat Harnett's side and accordingly they will now face a relegation fight in their final three games of the League. The final score in Dublin was Dublin 5-17 Kerry 1-6. Kerry actually led by two points after five minutes of the game but Dublin took over and led at half time by 2-7 to 0-5. A brief Kerry flourish after the interval was quickly cancelled out by the rampant 'Jackies' and they cantered to a resounding 23 point victory. Kerry face Mayo next Saturday in Listowel in a do or die clash. The local club will produce a 32 page match programme and there will be plenty of extra events attached to this game. We will have further details of the itinerary for Saturday's match on this web site in the days ahead.
